5 Major Reasons Android Devices Are Rooted Specs Preview

Why Do You Root Android Devices?

There are several reasons for which Android device users may decide to root their Android devices but in this post, I discuss five of the commonest reasons why Android devices are being rooted.

Although, with every single later Android releases, the OS gets more difficult to root and as much as possible; Google tries to make rooting Android devices less paramount by introducing new fascinating features that would make rooting Android devices less attractive.

But then, some Android device users still find the need to root their Android devices.

If for any reason, you are considering or contemplating on rooting your Android device, in this post; I have a list of five fascinating reasons why Android devices are being rooted. - who knows, you may find interest in any or all of them.

Warning!

Accessing your Android device as a root-level access user can be so destructive especially; when you don't actually understand the Android system patterns and as a result, you can completely render your Android device useless, dead and totally unusable.

Do not attempt to root your Android device unless you truly and fully understand what it is, when it is being used and how it is used.

Meanwhile, in case you are new to Android rooting, just as it was defined in one of my previous posts; Android-root is an attainable level of access rights or privileges a user can gain into the Android system. An Android user that has attained the root-level access into the Android system can add, remove, rename and modify any files within the Android system as such wishes.

Now, what are the major reasons why Android devices are being rooted?

Major Reasons Why Android Devices Are Rooted

  1. Unlocking Bootloader

This is the first and major reason why most Android device users attempt to root their phones; because some OEMs make unlocking the device's bootloader hard to do.

For most Android devices, getting the device's bootloader unlocked is the first step to take before you can be able to root the device at all. However, though Google officially permits and allows you to unlock and re-lock your Android devices' bootloader; some OEMs are not entirely okay with that hence, they make unlocking the device bootloader even more difficult.

Meanwhile, some Android developers are able to exploit such devices further by making a temp_root (temporary root exploit) through which perm_root can be obtained.

  2. To Install Custom Recovery

Because some Android users understand the several importance of custom recovery over the stock recovery most Android devices are shipped with, they always want to have custom recovery flashed on their Android devices. Meanwhile, there is absolutely no way you can flash custom recovery on your Android device without having to root the device first.

That being the second commonest reason why Android device users would want their Android device rooted.

  3. To Flashing Custom ROMs

Similar to custom recovery, most custom ROMs for Android devices are far more smooth, polished, friendly, fully-featured and bloat-free than most stock ROMs shipped with several Android devices.

For the foregoing reasons, most Android device users would want to flash custom ROM on their Android device but again, that is impossible without having custom recovery flashed on the device first. I am sure you remember that it's impossible to flash custom recovery without root access or bootloader unlocked.

  4. For Cross System Full Backup Possibilities

Some Android users are okay with their stock ROM but they desire to be able to move all their Android device's data including multimedia files, apps data and other documents along to their other Android devices each time they make a switch thus; from one device to another. - of course, such a thing is possible but not without root access.

If your Android device is rooted, using Titanium Backup App, you can actually switch your entire device contents from one Android device to another; once and for all.

This is another common reason why Android users root their Android devices.

  5. To Fully Utilize ExposedInstaller

ExposedInstaller is an extremely popular application among Android device users. The app is popular for a number of reasons which include deep specific app customization or system-wide customization of your Android device.

With ExposedInstaller installed on your Android device, you can use system-wide custom fonts, specific font for specific apps, override your OS theming and animations etcetera.

If you need to drastically and dramatically change your entire Android system experience, ExposedInstaller app is enough for you to achieve that however, ExposedInstaller app cannot be fully operational and effective without root access.
